HIV Vaccine

There is an estimated 33 million people worldwide infected with the HIV virus and an estimated 25 million who have been killed since this epidemic started in the 80's. Scientist believe they have come up with an vaccine that can protect a person from contracting the virus. When infected with HIV a person builds up proteins in their immune system to try and fight the virus. It doesn't work because by then it is to late but scientist believe that if given these proteins before infection it can protect a person up to 90 percent. Read More here...

Being a black women.....Frustrated Black Female

These days its demanding being a black women. We are faced with black men who are in prison, selling drugs with no employment, and fathers that are not around. It can be over whelming at times but black women are very strong and always seem to make it through. Raising children in single families is nothing to a black women neither is holding down full time jobs plus finding time to take college courses.


A lot of black women are angry and are tired of the few black successful men that choose to be with the light skinned or white women. This is one of the reasons black women claim they don't need a man and so the cycle continues with black single parent homes. Not only do we have to deal with unavailable men and skin issues but also body issues. Some women are mainly worried about having the sexy big booty but then we also have the over weight black women from bad eating habits that can more than likely lead to diabetes.

Nas has apparently not been paying is child or spousal support since Dec 1. Sounds like they had some drama over the holidays. He owes Kelis and their child $56,911.50. I'm really surprised he even pays at all, 50,000 in child support c'mon son. I'm still surprised Nas has it like that.
